Sal,

The Ladybug is one of my favorite knife designs. I have an original, the serrated sheepsfoot, SS PE LBK3 and FRN PE LBK3. The SS PE is #081 and is always with me...it's probably the perfect office knife!

I just got back from a week's vacation at the beach. Every day was spent in the sun, sand and salt water. I put the FRN PE LBK3 in the small "key" pocket of my bathing suit and used it the entire time. It's a great size for most of my cutting needs. I swam, waded and surf casted with the little guy along for the ride (it was basically submerged in sea water for 7 days). It was so convenient for trimming fishing line and cutting bait. I made sure to rinse with soap and water at the end of the day and to put a small drop of oil in the pivot each night. Only had to touch up the VG-10 edge a few times.

The H1 will be an excellent addition to the team. Thanks for continuing to listen and respond to customers input. It says a great deal about you and your company.

At one point, I actually thought 'They really should make a H1 Delica'.
...I'm embarrassed to say it really did take a while, ending with a two window comparison with the Salt 1, before I finally figured that one out. Glad to hear they're using H1 in the smaller size knives I like, might take a look into it.

Sorry if this has already been posted but I couldn't find anything with google search.

Is there an estimate of when this will be released and the cost? I was just about to order a Ladybug next week, but perhaps I should wait for H1 version...or get both!

How would the H1 hold up to EDC tasks?

Unless I were going diving or something with the Ladybug, I'd rather have VG-10.

Spyderco must have gotten a lot of requests from people who want a beach knife, or one to take on a cruise. I think most people working (or playing hard) on or in the water would prefer a bigger knife.

I'm all for a yellow H-1 Ladybug, but, other than Spyder enthusiasts and collectors, I'm wondering who the market for it is?

Tom
