I just received my Hand Axe and Nomadic Hunter today...very interesting tools. I do like the figure-8 attachment for carrying the NH and I'll hopefully get some time to play with the Hand Axe when on vacation next week.

great stuuf Rock (and Jollyroger)..:thumbup: i also really liked Brian's review he did on the Habilis tools, in TK... though not really my style, i have liked the looks and general over all design of these knives/tools ever since they first came out..:)

those clovis-hunters and hand axe's look pretty sweet too... looking forward to some more pics Rock..:D
 
Met with Steve Statten Monday and picked up a Habilis Trapper model. I'll get it out in the field as soon as I get an eye infection taken care of

Thank Mike; I missed that issue of TK:mad:...I'll have to seek one out as Brian's reviews are always top notch. Not sure how much I'll get done down in the Florida Keys next week...but I'll give it a shot:D

Thanks Rock, been putting antibiotic drops in it since last night, it seems a little better so hopefully not to long. Right now writing is difficult, so not trying to take or edit many pics at the moment.
 
it's great to see some more photos of the bush tool. i've been waiting on mine for a few weeks now. world's greatest wife found out i was eye-ing them and got it for me for our anniversary. now, i just have to wait out the back order..... thanks again for the photos!

Me too, at 3/16 thick it combines my fondness for bushcraft style knives and my fondness for sharpened pry bars for extreme work. I have some pretty intense tests in mind for it but considering what I have in mind and where I will be the eye needs to heal some more first.

I also look forward to your Trapper review. It may very well be my next one, after the Wood Beast. I think with a Wood Beast, Trapper and Nomadic Hunter, all the basis would be covered.
 
The Hand Adze/Hawk looks like an incredible tool. Not a huge fan of the Bush Tool though, no belly and the point is lacking. The trapper looks like a fantastic Bushcrafter, and with some tweeking the Wood Beast has alot of potential to boot.
 
I received mine yesterday. Love the sheath and the blade. The handle fit and finish isn't what it should be. I still like the knife and I'm sure it will perform in the field.
