Howdy BF members,
Just throwing this out there to hopefully help someone from sending money to an account that's been hacked.
Last night I saw what appeared to be a legitimate post and proceeded with the transaction. I had noticed when I sent the funds the first time that it said the recipient was not going to be able to access them until about a week later, September 4. The recipient said that there was a problem with PayPal and they went ahead and refunded my money. They then asked if I could send it to a friend's PayPal instead. I was a bit leery, but was actually feeling under the weather and tired, and wanted to complete the transaction and hit the sack so i sent the funds to that other address as requested.
I did think it was off at the last message when they put a laughing face on the last message.
I know the risk of FF and have used it and am not putting this out here to be bashed on, but rather just as a learning experience to be shared so that not one of you all gets burned.
