Hackers Infiltrate eBay: Time to Change Your Password - NBC News

Yup...They hacked into my account 2 times. Once about a month ago we had some weird email's being sent out with a attachment to it. And another last week or so. Both time's we changed password and of coarse we didn't open attachment. I don't know what these guys are after. The latest hack came AOL sent me a notice that I violated there TOS agreement so I had to change that password as well.

I saw this yesterday morning. Question is, why didn't ebay actually ask anyone to change their passwords? We have to hear about this through the news. It's called fleebay for a reason I guess. Oh, and ebay, no I would not like to link my ebay account with my paypal, so stop asking!

For all I use my eBay account (two purchases) I should delete it. But I changed my password today.

eBay hack, 2nd largest in U.S. history, leaves questions unanswered
Yeah, my fleabay got hacked. I got a random woman, obviously a scammer, that was trying to send me money to my email but it wasn't from paypal. A bit later and I read in the news they got hacked and you needed to change your password. Next I checked my spam folder and WOWWIE!!!!!!! This really nice guy, who turns out to be a some kinda royalty, wants to send me a $400k check and if I cash it for him he promises to give me $175k. Sounds like a win win to me!
That's a big problem but simultaneously they were dealing on scamming (phishing) expeditions. Unfortunately, there's a huge lagtime between the event and exposure to media and so far it shows major shortcomings on the part of eBay. There'll be investigations by major regulatory entities in US & EU.
