This is the last posting on this and it's the last one of it's kind from me...
I'll stick to Bowies and such.

It's 15.1/8" overall and weighs 25.5 oz.
The blade is 1095 spring steel 10" long and 1/4" thick.
The guard, bolster, and pommel sides are 1018 steel WELDED
to the full tang.

The handle is 4. 7/8" long with scales of Curly Maple.
There is a lanyard hole in the pommel (no lanyard incl.).
The sheath is 10 oz. leather with black steel rivets and a
black steel snap.
It's cemented at the spacer and hand stitched
using doubled waxed nylon saddle stitching thread making for an
extremely rugged, rough use sheath.

The rough beveled blade is reheated in the forge to glowing red
and quenched in strained used motor oil. After it's cleaned of slag
it's brought back up in temp. until it can be struck with a file.
I leave the file marks showing. I like a handmade knife to look
handmade.
This is how I harden / tempor my blades. They hold an edge
extremely well.

$285 incl. Shipping in the U.S. PAYPAL or M.O.
1st. "I'LL TAKE IT" to my email address mcswood@msn.com
takes it.

Thanks for looking,
Mike

WOW ! That's one wicked looking blade . Very nice work

If I had the spare cash , Santa would be leaving that under the tree for me this year :D

HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS ! :emot-yarr:

Don't mean to clog up your thread but your work is amazing. I love the style of your large knives. At that price that knife is a flat out steal.

Thanks for the kind words.
If it doesn't sell soon I'll rap it up
and give it to my wife for Christmas.

It would be ashame to see you stop making this style. If I didn't already have a couple in a similar style, this would have been mine a while ago. I rarely comment like this but I love your work. Not to mention your prices seem so low for such pieces!!

Thanks again for such fine compliments.
It's been reposted.
This is one that is a more usable design.
Just go figure !!!
If it doesn't look nasty it seems to sit..
