Had a Bear Grylls moment today !

Like others have said, a waterline for a logging operation.
Seen similar in my area, south of you a 100 miles or so south of you

awesome pictures? That place is beautiful, very jealous if you actually live around there.

Hey Pit,

Great post as always. Love those resin slabs! What knife is that?

Dragon

The knife is one I drew up and Bruce Culberson made, he then sent me the material to make the handle myself. This is my first from him but I doubt that it will be my last !!!

That log pipe had to be part of a logging operation unless it was a very old water supply pipe toward some population center or perhaps for a mill.

I think most of us have had a Bear Grylls (BG) moment if you spend much time in the woods. I have slid down quite a few talus slopes BG style. But I have not climbed any water falls lately either up or down. But hiking the water courses certainly result in some challenges from time to time. Fished a stream called Roaring Fork in Smoky Mt National Park and you need to be part goat to make your way upstream.

Enjoyed your pictures as always.

Ya, took a few magic carpet rides in the wet coast myself back in the day. You slide through a skunk cabbage, stand up and flick the 4 inch slug off. Watch your back man, go sideways. Better to hammer a hip than take out your spine\lower back.
