Last week a young guy and his dad came over to visit me in my shop. I had never met them, and the son found me in the internet and wants to get into knife making. He sent me some emails first and I directed him to the sticky post here and answered some questions as well. I felt kinda important for a few minutes and met a couple guys who like knives as much as I do. There aint many around that I have seen. I gave the son a ground out bland and gave him some directions and he went off to get started. I think they went out of town but I cant wait to see what this kid can do. he seemed very interested and very smart. Hewas invited to come and work in my shop on a Saturday and I would help him while I work on my own knives. Just thought I would share...
