Had one of those mornings....

One thing to Remember a BOB or contents do ya no good if you can not reach them.
I keep my RC5 in the Drivers Door pocket ....
Glad your ok bro

Glad you're OK, but you may want to reconsider working tomorrow. Second day's way worse than the first, after you stiffen up. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery!

Prayers sent and glad you are ok. You're right though, it could have been much worse. As you probably know, 70 mph on icy roads over a bridge is usually spells disaster and a broken bone or two if your lucky. Glad you walked away from that!

Yeah, weird thing is, it really didnt feel that cold this morning(4am)...The roads were totally fine, so 70mph I was just cruisin the speed limit. Didnt even think the bridges would be that slick!!!!

Thank you for the kind words. :)

Are you allowed to run studded snow tires there?

Not that I know of... We really dont get that bad of winters anymore. A few bad snows here and there and thats it. Havent seen anyone run snow tires...

The best to do (and we both know this) is rest. Your will not benefit your crew or anyone else if your hurt and not 100%. Do you have PTO (paid time off?) or sick days? I hope you feel better, get some sleep and rest.

Yeah we have ETO, but I need it for the vacations I have planned for 2010. California, The WLC, and mountain biking in Moab... Kinda BS we dont get sick time and have to use ETO.... However I spoke to my boss, and Im gonna be able to make up my time...

Glad to see you are OK!

Stop smoking! :D

Hey those smokes saved me a femoral bleed!! :D

J/K....thats my new years resolution. I turn 29 in Jan, and I wanna be smoke free, and in the best shape of my life by 30. Im on my way, I lift and run, and excersize like a madman....

Glad your ok, and bravo for helping the others!! Almost did the same over the weekend, missed the guardrail inches and regained control but just barely, wasn't doing 70 thou!

Really surprised about the PSK/sheath thou.... I have had a bunch of them, and never even come close to putting the blade thru the sheath.... of course none of mine were ever rammed into the sheath at the kind of speed either.

Rest up Bro, try and chill, forget the truck til tomorrow....

Thanks brother, im sore as hell, but Ill live, and thats the all that matters.

Yeah me too....I think if my PSK had scales it wouldnt have happened. With no scales or cordwrap, it just slid right through. It was sitting just right in my pocket....

Now I need another sheath though!! I fixed it with duct tape, but eh....Need to see if anyone has a Gossman PSK, and makes sheaths so I can get one w/o having to send mine....:o

I hear that!! My EDC bag is usually on the seat right next to me, but after this kinda thing, Im rethinking my car kit a bit, location etc.....

Thanks Tony. Appriciate it bro.

Glad you're ok. Even if you don't need snow tires, some tires with lots of siping (little grooves) will give lots of extra grip on wet and icy roads.

Wow that's a major kind of accident! I'm really glad you were able to walk away from that without anything more serious than a laceration and bruises! On the motorcycle forum I'm on we're always hearing about accident stories. Usually anything above 50 mph means you're boned even if wearing proper safety gear, which you weren't. You're a badass for helping other people while being hurt. :)

Maybe you should stay home until you're back to 100%. It would suck if you couldn't do something on the job because of your injuries, and since your occupation has towith saving lives, it may affect the injured party

On Scene Tactical makes a great sheath, and now that I think about it, that is who made the ones that came with my PSK from Scott. Great little sheath. Also the pocket sheaths that Derrick has at knivesshipfree rock! Prefect for the PSK.

Again, I am glad you weren't injured more seriously this morning.

Glad to hear you're ok!

Unfortunately someone I worked with was not so fortunate and lost her life after her car plunged into lake michigan this past sunday :(

70 MPH - you did not just survived it but you were able to help others! You are a good man and somebody up there likes you.

Where you in shock at all? What are you doing in front of the computer? Get some rest and get better soon - people like you are in short supply.
