I'm assuming this poll is based solely on personal taste, so I voted for VG-10. Excellent all around steel. H1 and SR-101 are right up there with it.

A2 and ZDP 189 for sharpenability

ZDP 189, BG42, S30V for edgeholding

H1 for corrosion resistance

For toughness INFI.....

exactly. Too many factors for this poll to be usefull.

There should have been two polls, one for stainless steels used in folding knives and one for hard use steels used in camp/bowie knives.

I would love to vote for my favorite SS's but not at the expense of the tougher carbon steels.
