Had to share the news with my ESEE brothers and sisters!

i think he would probably use O1, you know, the stuff that rusts when you look at it :p ;)

How much do you sell the Hatchula for?

The hatchula looks like a serious field knife, great name too! What steel will be used? I could not find the specs. Good for you.

If you guys want to shoot me an email or a PM, I can answer all kinds of money questions. I just don't want to do it in the ESEE forum. Tankya! Oh and yes, it's O-1 tool steel. The kind that rusts when you look at it.:grumpy:

Note to self: no knives for gundude.
:D

Yeah, I really take care of my knives and O1 is the only steel where rust snuck up on me. It is tough as hell but corrosion is always dulling the edge.

Congrats. So many of us have a job we tolerate or dont like. Youre really

blessed to be able to be able something you love to do and get paid to

do it. Best of luck.:D

You have some good looking knives.

I hope to try one out one day not too far down the line.

I'm actually looking into doing a few in either D2 or 440C but they will be EXTREMELY limited IF IF I decide to do it, but it's on the back burner right now.

well i can rust D2, special me right? i would buy a DF in 440C down the road, im in no rush, just let us all know

Woohoo. I'm looking forward to seeing more designs of yours cranked out. Good luck with your new path.

A couple more comments if I may. First, I like 01. I find it resists rust as well if not better than 1095 and Sr-101. Second, since you're following your dream, don't forget, there will be hard times. If you're truly passionate about it and work hard to tough out the bad times, you'll be rewarded.
Best of luck!

Great website design. I'll be keeping an eye out for that Hatchula! Enjoy the ride - not many get to live the dream.

Thanks for all the good wishes guys. Can't wait to see a bunch of ya at Blade. Less than a month to go!!!!

Congrats Dylan!!! Keep moving forward, don't look back.

O-1 is a great steel. It takes and holds a fantastic edge as well as being very forgiving to work with.
