Hi Everyone,
Up for sale is a stock removal blade I call "Hair of the Grizzly". The name is derived from its tangle with my Grizzly 2" x 72" Belt Grinder. At only 1 hp, the motor switch fried while grinding this beast and I had to have a new one installed. Both the blade and the grinder will live to fight another day. After this incident, I purchased a KMG 3 hp 2" x 72" with all the bells and whistles. But, I'll keep my Grizzly till she dies.
Spec are as follows:
The Blade is 5160, 15 1/2" tip to gard and 2 1/8" at its widest. She is really a short sword. The blade is edge quenched and finished with 600 grit pull strokes.
The handle is 300 + yr old American Chestnut, recovered from an old farm house built over 200 yrs ago. The wood grain is spectacular and the bronze colored rays are unlike anything growing today. The "S" Gard was forged from swamp recovered Wagon Wheel Wrought Iron. It has been Bleach Boiled with Mustard and Cold Blue. Two of the handle Spacers and the Butt Cap are also from the same Wrought Iron. The other two handle spacers are Ebony. The Finale is Silicon Bronze shaped on my drill press ... I haven't got a lathe just yet. O.A.L is right at 21"
Price is $1200.00 $1125.00+ $35.00 Shipped anywhere in the Continental U.S.
Thanks for Looking,
Bobby
