Haley DesRosier MS test knife with Paul Long sheath

I was fortunate to snag one of Haley's MS test knives at Blade Show. Just happened to be at her table when they came back from Caleb. This is a small fighter/hunter? Haley didn't really know what to call it but it was a unique blade style for her. She called it a boot knife, but others, including P Long and Adam, said it's not. I don't really care what it's called, it spoke to me. I mostly collect hunters and a few smaller bowies and this one just fit my style.

Caleb was kind enough to send me a shot of this knife cropped from his group shot of Haley's MS set.



My pics below are just to show the sheath, which I had done by Paul Long.

I am very envious. The sheath looks amazing as I am positive does the knife. can't wait to see Caleb's photos. - Karen

Really glad you're enjoying this knife Mark. I may go down in history as the girl who sticks a vest bowie in her boot. Awell, Alaskans don't really wear vests unless they're goose down ;)

Vest or Boot... either name works for me. Haley's blade w/ Paul's leather is always a nice package!!
 
I just ran across these pics of Mark's knife in the shop, also the specs.

5 1/4" blade
10 1/4" OAL
Laddered damascus 1080/15N20
Twisted 'Batsauce' damascus guard and spacer with hammered bronze shims. Desert ironwood handle.

I love the ironwood on this piece. The multi-bar guard and spacer were the other half of the billet of damascus that I made my dagger pommel from.

Rough ground prior to HT.

great vest pocket Bowie or whatever you'd like to call it...and the sheath complements it quite nicely :thumbup:
