I call it a halibut knife because it looks like a fish and I made it just for the "halibut". Sorry, that is as funny as I get.

I have wanted a small knife, but dont like three finger knives. I designed this one so that my little finger fits in the dip at the end of the handle. It feels really comfortable in the hand, and the grip is secure.

It is made from 1084 with a hamon (fun to do on a small knife). The spine has a file pattern.

The handle is stabilized black ash burl.

The sheath is leather and made to be clipped in the right pocket.

Price - $120 shipped. I prefer paypal to mlwbailey@yahoo.com, but will accept checks and money orders.

it is yours mainboatman.

Thanks

Thank you also Mike. It took me a while to decide on a logo, but I am happy with the direction I went.

A very nice peice indeed. It is the burl wood that really stands ut to me. Great work Matt!

Matthew,
Your knife arrived today. Boy am I happy to have this. It really is much prettier than the photos revealed. I would say I'd order another but that would just be over the top to have two such beauties. Many thanks! I can vouch to those who read these posts that, they too, can be pretty darn sure of being happy if they buy one of these.
Sincerely,
Fred aka Maineboatman

OK Matt,

You taking orders?

I gotta start paying more attention, you went and sold a knife that had been made just for me and I didn't buy it.

I also gotta ask, is that a Mark II?
I have a Mark II on deck waiting for my one month between purchases to burn up. Bull barrel, and adjustable sights to boot.

I am not taking orders right now. I am a first year teacher at a local school and my time is a little short right now. I plan on taking orders again this summer, when I have some more time with which to play. I will be making more Halibut knives soon, and already have one ready for heat treat. I want to do them in groups of three. Yes, by the way, it is a mark II with a bull barrel. I love it. I have a couple glocks, but would rather shoot the mark II. It is fun, cheap and accurate.
