The ornamental pear trees (I think that's what they are) across the street from work are putting out blossoms. Spring is near!!

Can't wait!!!:d

Over the past few years I have noticed a much bigger Robin here in central Indiana. These Robins are big as blackbirds.

So, this is the question can blackbirds and Robbins interbreed with each other to produce this large bird that we are seeing here in central Indiana.

I almost showed my ignorance and asked if this was a sign Winter is coming to and end in your part of the country. Those fat little bastards are here all the time! :D

For us... the sign of great weather on the way is usually humming birds. Although I think global warming must have them confused... While at my aunt's in Astoria, OR for Thanksgiving (REALLY close to the mouth of the Columbia river/Coast) it was snowing AND there were two humming birds whizzing around. :)

My FAVORITE sign that spring is making its presence known around here is the Lilacs coming on. Call me girly... but flowers are cool :D

Nothing girly about likin' lilacs... they're pretty and smell great! Noticing stuff like that and bringing some to your lady will usually get you a smooch :D

Our tulips started breaking through the soil about a week ago. Yahoooooo...

I actually thought about mowing the lawn last weekend. Will probably be mowing it this weekend.

I wanted to mow the back yard to help get rid of dog mess but it has been raining too much. The snow melt just hasn't had time to drain yet.

Yesterday was nice and bright. Today was ok but got cold quick and is bitterly cold in the wind right now. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice but I'm not going to hold my breath.
