Halpern Titanium Mule Team Handles??
I recently purchased two Mule Team 11’s (M390), and have been looking at the Halpern Titanium Mule team Handles.
My questions are,
I like option 1, but what is the grip on the G-10 like?
Is option 4 worth twice the money?
On any option can I order the handles pre drilled for a lanyard?
Thanks for your time,
wcmd.

I think Option 4 is worth twice the money. They feel very nice in hand with the contouring, plus they are full-sized (out to the edge of the tang). Understand that Option 1 is slightly undersized, exposing the edge of the tang. Not a big deal; but keep that in mind, if that might be an issue for you. I personally prefer the full size. Also, the .25" thick Option 1's are pretty thick, just so you know. Unless you have big hands, I would get the .2" version; I think it will feel better for most folks. That being said, the Option 1 handles do work fine for me; it's a preference issue.

The texturing on the Option 1 G10 is fairly smooth...it's not slippery at all, though; so I wouldn't say that's an issue. In fairness, though, I have not yet used them with wet hands.

Another option is the new Option 5. It is full-sized, but pretty slim (.14"); and it's medium textured. I would have gotten a pair, but they don't come in black this go-round.

Overall, I think it's an excellent product for the price; and they are great folks.

I think you'll like them! While the Option 1's will serve adequately for usage; if you really want to turn your Mule into a nice little Spyderco fixed blade, the Option 4 will do you justice.

Have you considered contacting a custom maker or modder and asking them to handle the blade for you? I'm sure the Halperns are great, but it's worth thinking about if you want something unique, with perfect fit, and exactly to your own spec in the material of your choice.
