Wait till you try my Portagee Style Favas:thumbup:

Maybe if I leave the 10% CAYENNE out of it, it will cut down the size of the exit wound. HEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!

This is the forge body that is the door prize for the HI. BBBB Beaver and Justin did most of the work on it.

As you see by the pic, it was kinda cold. When you're wearing a jacket and insulated vest while working at the forge......:jerkit: well it's cold :D

I'll be bringing a pretty good #90 anvil and a post vice to sell if anyone is just starting out and needs a basic set up..IG, I will bring your W/I chain as well !!

I can probably bring a 75lb vulcan that's in good working order if anyone is intrested in purchasing it. It has 2 chamfered corners where the face had chipped but is a great anvil still. It's what I used till I got my 130lb peter wright, so I know it works just fine =) I just dont use it currently.

As you can see, 2 bevels ground into the edge to fix chips, but with many great edges and a very good face still.

im still looking for an anvil if any of yall is willing to ship to texas. if my bike sells ill be able to afford it. email me if you feel like shipping it down here.

Justin,

As long as the face is reasonably flat, you'll have a good work surface.:D

The face is perfectly flat on this vulcan, and it is a great anvil, just that it's light weight, and Iv'e got a better one now that I own a peter wright I got a year ago. Unfortunately the anvil just sits around not being used for hte most part. I suppose i could hold onto it, make a portable lightweight stand, and use it when traveling around along with my tiny whisper baby forge, though. Being 75lbs it is the heaviest that UPS / FEDEX would deliver with normal rates, so it is shipable.

Sounds like a plan. If the person that wins the forge and buys the anvil and vise off of you, he would be ready to go into action.;)
