Can anyone tell me about these knives. They have the logo with the arm curled up in a bicep flex position? I saw one at an antique store and was curious.
New York Knife Co.- A highly respected post-Civil War company that went under during the Great Depression used the "Hammer Brand" trademark on a line of knives. The mark was later sold to Imperial, who used it on a cheap line of knives.
Collins & Co.- Big time Machete and Bowie maker out of Ct. They used a arm and hammer, breaking out of a crown. They're now made all over the place, and are a shadow of their former quality. The Bowies bring good money, and the other stuff is slowly increasing in value.
