Hammer Poll Hawk

How interesting. I've just joined blade forum to learn about tomahawks and seek advice on what my first one should be (both maker and type - e.g., spike v. hammer pole) because I have tomahawk fever. (I'm looking for one that will serve mainly for camp use, fairly light weight for packing, but can also be used as a secondary SD weapon. More on that elsewhere...)

I'd been reading archives for hours when I found this short thread which demonstrates Stuart's beautiful work (I've visited your web site and looked at your gallery); a post by the owner of Bear Mountain (likewise have visited your site and have bookmarked it); and a post by Dwight McLemore, who's book The Fighting Tomahawk I ordered only an hour ago. (Can't wait to read it; it's gotten excellent reviews.)

So, I couldn't resist adding a post to say thanks to all of you for your fine work.

I look forward to learning more.
