That is pretty cool. Very unique. I would call it the wedding gown hawk. Kind of looks like a lady in a dress if turned blade down. Hammer end needs a pretty face.

That's a full on battle axe. Very nice. Question though. How do you get 22 ounce overall weight from a 24 ounce hammer head?

Thanks, that includes the haft and leather---out of curiosity I weighed a couple unforged heads and the weight was around 20 oz.s actual weight.....you do loose mass from scaleing and grinding also--

Now Butch, I really like that! Not that I don't like the others you've done 'cause they're great, but that one just yells at me! Well done!!
Rick

Love the wide blade, love the file branding, love the whole package.Somebody is going to score.

Wow. If that is screwing around, keep it up. Looks great. Do the three cool little leaf faces in the fourth pic come with it? :)

Thanks,I would include one:thumbup:,I did the wizard heads while waiting for the head to heat up-I used to forge a lot of different things before I got stuck on hawks:rolleyes:

Oh man I'm going to be in the doghouse... I'll take it.

I'll have to give her the little wizard as a peace offering. :o

Now that's one helluva axe right there. I love it when playing around turns into something unintentionally great. Jason is going to love it!
