This hammer poll hawk is forged from 1045. Edge hardened and tempered.***The hammer poll is also hardened and tempered like a regular hammer*** The hawk has a 2 3/4" cutting edge and is 7 1/2" long including the hammer poll. It has been etched to an aged patina. Good soild hawk, would make a good worker..The haft is curly maple, dyed with aqua fortis and finished with boiled linseed oil..It dosnt come with a sheath but we will make a nice hand sewn sheath with button snap for $15.
