I like it but I must add that the transition between handle and blade looks blocky to me. The way that the copper guard abruptly ends with a ledge on top and bottom of the blade, combined with the "choil" after the guard takes away from the flow, but maybe only to me.

JT, you've been doing a lot of work lately. I'll critique this one, not because I don't like it, but to help you on the next ones.

The knife is too sharply angular. It has 90 degree places all over it.If it was a military or survival knife (think Ka-Bar), that would look right.

The handle does not fit the blade type. Again, the blade looks like it needs a stacked leather or similar handle. The stag piece needs a blade with a curve.

The copper guard looks very nice, but matches neither the handle or the blade. It would look perfect on a tanto, or a fishing knife.

I think each element is superb, They just belong with other complimentary parts.
I like the knife, it just needed a little design adjustment. I am sure you will have no problem selling it as is. Try making the same blade with a stacked leather handle, and a fighter guard, and you will be able to ask $100 more for it.

Keep up the good work.

I like it a lot Jarod! It has a nice, rustic, well made look to it. I also love copper furniture on knives. -Matt-

its funny because the blade was going to get a stacked handle. i was going to stack copper and water bufflow horn and have a forged wrought iron guard and butt. i just had some horn and did it, o well its a learning expearince. thanks for the helpfull comments.
