"Hammered" GW from the VetDayGanzaaa...

I know there were at least a few of these, but I don't recall much in the way of opinions on them since the Ganza goodies shipped out... Maybe I missed that thread?

I just got mine with the rest of my haul so no pix yet (borrowed Jerry's ;)), but first impressions has me believing that I have found my next EDC user GW. :thumbup: Looks to be .22" thick, but thanks to the top swedge which is damn near sharp itself, the blade has a nice pointy tip. It's hollow ground, which leads down to a nice decent working edge... pretty decent slicer for a thicker GW. :)

So, what do you all think of 'em??? :confused::) Anyone got pix of them getting broken in?? :D
 
The only place I have even seen another one Jaxx is in the Sticky-ed thread "Nothing but Pics" and it looks great.

I was really hoping for a pic from you because you always take great pictures.

This is another time I wish I could regret something,.... I would regret not getting one of those!!

I keep forgetting to get some AA batts for the camera's flash :o, but I will get pix of them and the other knives up soon. :thumbup:

I think it is an excellent Warden and I considered going for one myself. However, as funds are always tight these days - I grabbed the 3B2 :)

One question - is the blade a double cut or more of a stone washed finish? Might have to work on trading someone for one of these ;)

I will even drive by and drop of the batteries :-)

That knife looks sweet.
 
I like the blade, but wasn't fond of the handles. I like my micarta fancy! Beautiful blade though.
 
I recall that a lot of folks posted that they planned to grab one of those swaged GWs, but I don't know how many really did. I prefer the AD handles so don't own any GWs, but some of you have extensive GW collections. I would have liked to have gotten a 3B2, but I bought 3 FSH instead and they are outstanding, but this isn't a thread about FSH. It'll be interesting to see if any of the VetDayGanza blades appear at the Company Store or Spring Knob Creek, or if they were all sold.
 
That IS tigerhide, right? I'm REALLY feelin' that hammered finish. I might like it better than Satin.
 
If my work had not sent me far away, I'd have tried for one of these. Making it an EDC seems sound. :thumbup:

Ohhhhhhh - and thats why its called the "Hammered Warden" :rolleyes:;):rolleyes:

I am not always the sharpest knife in the drawer for sure - thanks:thumbup::D

But that finish would make for an excellent edc for sure - I will have to work on getting one of them then!

Ah...good lookin' out. Interestingly enough, the tigerhide on the TW's wasn't as noticeable as on, say, the HR's. Thanks.

Thats a good looking GW. If it was a thinner stock it would be at the top of my list. That finish would hide hard use very well.
 
I have one. The blade has an unusual finish. Looks like the steel was touched with a abrasive pad to come up with a swirly pattern. I like it.

If my card ready wouldn't give up the ghost I would post some pics :(
