Ray Richard is planning on coming out to the Old Pueblo for a visit the end of February. We’re going to put on a one day “Hammerjamin” at my place, to give us something to do. We’ll focus on hand forging (hand eye coordination, personal philosophy and recycled metallurgy etc…) and will both be doing demos separately, plus a “Wild Geezers” collaboration together… so we can ask questions to each other about what, why and how we are doing what we are doing.

...Even if it’s just Ray and me, I bet we learn a lot!

(No Damascus!)

There’s a good chance I can get a few musicians to entertain us during lunch and a camera crew to film the whole thing.

We’re looking at the last Saturday in February 2010, (2/27/10, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm). This event will be limited to 25 attendees. The price is $35 per person, (lunch included),… payment in full in advance no later than 2/1/2010.

I'll also be sending out some sign up forms, for those who plan to attend.

There are reasonable hotel accommodations close by and campgrounds, including the beautiful Catalina State park, … just give me a holler.

Reservations, sign up information and directions, etc., contact:
taigoo@msn.com

If you have any other questions,… please contact to Ray or myself.

I forgot to say, "bring your instruments" so we can jam at lunch break.

I’m going to give Ray a crash course on wash tub bass. I’ll be playing some ukulele and probably some Turkish spike fiddle. :)

Pictures of such a collaborative effort are a must. And yes, I would add priceless as stated above.

I would give my best forging hammer to attend.

Me and Ray are getting pretty excited about it! We've never met in person yet, but have been pen pals a long time and know each other from the forums...

I visit Tucson every year around that weekend. I just might have to make it a point to get there that weekend now. I will be in touch. -Burton
