Love it! The blade shape and the hamon look just about perfect. I think I'm coming around to Mistwalker's preferred blade size. I used to want fixed blades to all be 4.5-6", but blades along this size range are really usable.
If I am heading into deeper territory or really thick stuff I like a longer blade too still. But I think something like this paired up with a larger tool makes for a good team. I don't know if it's just getting older or getting smarter...but I find long term carving with a six inch blade really fatigues my wrist these days. Maybe it's because I got out of the woodworking industry and my hands don't get the amount of exercise they once did. But when I am just sitting around relaxing and carving out different things I like a 4 to 4.5 inch blade pretty well. But to this day if I am only taking one knife and will be a mile or more from my truck I take a knife with at least a six inch blade.
No worries man, I have the technology to produce another!!
Cool!
killer looking blade -- congrats to both of you!
Thanks Vik, it was the one you had at the gathering that inspired this one
