Hamon too close to edge?

Here is a camp knife I have been working on out of 1095, it's blade is 11 inches long. When I began the first part of my polishing with a coarse stone, the hamon began to show itself, and it worried me that it was so close the the edge. I think I may have put the clay on too thick because the hamon is much lower than I intended it to be. I still have some edge to work with so I could re-heat treat if needed, so I wanted to see if you all thought that I should re-do it. Thanks.

A good looking knife, if I were in your shoes and it was not intended to be sold I would keep this as a gift or personal use. Although it is a bit close than normal the hamon is very nice IMHO ...

it looks like there's a spot near the curve of the tip, that the hamon runs off the edge. I'd redo it.:)

I'm with Galadduin on this, if it isnt for you re-do it. if it is for you and you can live with it, no need in worring with it. :D

Redo gets my vote also. It does look like there is a run off just back from the tip. Higher with the coating.

Thanks everyone. The blade was just for me, but I will redo it anyway. I just hate to use up all those extra belts.
