Im getting ready to attempt my first hamon with some 1095 on a small drop point blade. I have absolutely ZERO experience with this and have read several forums about it but not sure if the canola oil I have been using is sufficient enough to cool it down fast enough. I have read that water quench or a brine works as well,but I havent grown a pair big enough to quench in water
any tips?
