what kind of etching stuff does radio shack sell?
does it do the job?
i looked all over and could not find any ferric chloride any where in this town.

The PCB etchant at Radio Shack IS ferric chloride. Dilute it 3-1 with water and you're good to go.

It works great! i can do more now!
the one i just did was not a wild looken one but maybe next time.
radioshack said go to there web site and get a ten dollar coupon , that will get the next one for free.

Glad to see your getting some success ,Vern.

One suggestion, have the transition from the guard shoulder to the tang be a curve, and not a 90 degree angle like that blade has. There is a high risk of failure from stress risers if you have sharp angles.
