Yesterday i ordered the 1 Micron 4 oz diamond spray. I just received an email saying it was shipped. I even have a tracking number. So it looks good so far. Lets hope something doesnt screw up and i end up waiting 2 months for my spray. I told him that i had read about him not shipping out stuff and people on bladeforums having to wait (and still waiting) for paid items and he said "watch, if you order from me today, ill ship it out tomorrow", and it looks like he did. Also told me he has loads of clients and is a very busy man.

At least you've received a notice of shipment. I ordered last Friday, inquired on Monday as to the status of the order and was told they were out of bottles and would have them on Tuesday. Today's Wednesday and no bottles, no shipment and I wouldn't care if they didn't change their story quite so often. With the plethora of reliable merchants around there simply isn't reason to deal with such poor service and that's the last order they'll get from me.

I got an email from Hand American saying it was shipped at 08:15 this morning but my tracking number still says "electronic shipping info recieved". hmm :mad:

Well the email i received was from the USPS, not Hand American and this is what i get when i click my tracking number.

Ill keep this thread updated on what happens. If tomorrow the status of the tracking number thing hasn't changed, he didnt ship and that will suck. Then i guess ill be waiting 6 months like the rest of you. :grumpy:

I got an email from Hand American saying it was shipped at 08:15 this morning but my tracking number still says "electronic shipping info recieved". hmm :mad:

No it's not the tracking number sometimes won't update till the item is in your mailbox. I recently got something of a popular auction site, and my tracking number didn't update till it was my door.
"electronic shipping info recieved" just means that they could have, but they forgot to scan it, or it is in the pile of stuff.
 
Wow. I ordered on the 6th and have yet to hear anything. I guess I'll call tomorrow since I hear emails just get overlooked over there. Of course the next question is if their products are really worth the trouble? I guess time will tell.
 
Dont worry, itll ship. My order said that the morning of the day it arrived at my house.

With Handamerican, you need to keep on top of them. Send emails, call, leave messages, ect.

Just to add to this thread.. I placed my order Monday and called on Wednesday to check on it and was told it was leaving today.. I just hung up and they guy said I need to be patient and it will go out tomorrow guaranteed..To be fair, he says he is including something he wants me to test and he is throwing that in for free.. We will see.. If I was a betting man, it wont go out tomorrow.
 
Well it has been a week since I talked to him and still no email saying it has been shipped and no credit card charge.

This is getting past the point of ridiculous and now is laughable at how bad the service is. I hope this is a side job because I don't see how the man can make a living like this. When people want to give you money you freakin' make something happen!?

It just arrived about 10 minutes ago. I ordered it 2 days ago. This transaction went well for me. He threw in a piece of leather too
 
I haven't had the time to call because of work and my emails haven't gotten me anywhere. It is nice this got resolved for the OP but I must say it is frustrating to watch him receive his order before me when mine was placed two weeks before his. What's worse is that it sounds like there are probably others that have been waiting even longer than me. I'm sure eventually I will get something and I know I have not been charged but I can't help to have a feeling of WTF come over me. We shouldn't have to micro manage a company we're purchasing goods from by calling them and emailing daily. We don't get paid for it and if they don't have stuff ready to ship then at least be up front about the shipping times....
 
I was checking my email a little while ago and I heard heavenly singing and a bright light overcame me as it was revealed on my monitor that I had an email from USPS saying a shipping label hand been printed for HAND AMERICAN!!?!

I was flabbergasted! I didn't even call or write an email since last Friday! It looks like I may finally get my product over 2 months ago since ordering and over 3 months since I first started my contact with Keith. However, I was a little disappointed to see I was charged over 10 bucks for shipping 2 8 ounce bottles of spray. That should be able to be sent first class with delivery confirmation for $4. All I know is this stuff better work miracles after all this. I originally told him I would like to try a piece of his hard felt and he said he would send a sample but with my luck it will be anything but the felt.

I really wanted to have great things to say about Keith and his products. He is really friendly on the phone and even after all this for some strange reason I'm still not that mad. Which is strange because normally I put up with very little crap before I let someone know I am not happy and going somewhere else. Maybe one day he will figure out how to run a business? Hopefully 24 carats of diamond spray will last me a loooong time so I don't have to deal with this again.

Sorry OP for bringing my experience to your thread. Let us know how the diamonds work!
 
There has been no change in HandAmerican customer service in the past 15 years. He has great products, evolving products, new products, and old product, but there is no excuse for 15 years of 'I'm trying to get my web site going.'
It just doesn't take that long to set up a web site.

I think he must spend more money giving away free stuff to placate irate customers than any other retailer I've heard of! If he'd put that money into hiring a website manager he'd do a heck of a lot more business!

Yes- it still is ridiculous no matter what he sends for free- how great the products are etc. In an economy that is on it's butt I would think that great service and products should be praised and bad service will not hold up. As a consumer if we accept this we lower the standards. We are seeing this in our world every single day. I don't need any product so bad as to go through all of this scenario. Just is not right IMO. Thanks
