Hand American Website?

I've been reading a lot about strops on Blade Forums lately and I'd like to get one of my own. I've heard a lot of people talk about Hand American products, but when I tried to go to their web page there was just one page about how they are uploading info. Is their website just down now or what? Thanks for the help.

You could also build your own strop blocks for a minimum outset.

HandAmerican's web site gives some phone and fax numbers. That message about being back up soon has been there for months. If you can get through, they used to have some worthwhile stropping pastes in 6 and 2 micron SiC, 1.8 micron BC, and 0.5 micron CrO.

More recently, I've gone to diamond pastes from MTI at www.mtixtl.com. I have to say that their 0.25 micron diamond will strop an edge sharper than anything I've ever seen.

Thanks for all the help guys. Now I know what the Hand American Strop system looks like at least. Now I just have to decide what strop and compound to buy.
