First up are two of my Hand Axe designs. In the Stone Age, a hand axe was the "one tool" design that was used by our ancestors to survive on a daily basis. I based my design off of a desire to find a simple "if I had only one" type tool. I started with the design of the knife that was made in the field in the movie The Hunted. Sort of a simpler WSK/Tracker knife. What I came up with really pleases me :) It can chop, slice, and by choking up on the handle/blade area, it can be used for carving and smaller tasks. You can even grasp the spine of the blade for an Ulu type use. What I am selling here are my two prototypes in 1/4in thick 5160 with black G10 scales. Both come with Kydex sheaths with Tek Loks. Price for each is $350 shipped in the US. the squared off handled one is 11 3/4in long with a 6 3/4in blade tip to handle. The more rounded pommel one is 12in long with a6 3/4in blade tip to handle.

Next up is a neat one of a kind general purpose camp/utility knife in 1/4in thick 5160 with natural canvas micarta scales. The handle is faceted and has a gentle palm swell in the center. When I was roughing the handle in, it just felt so nice with the flats, that I decided to finish it out and keep the flat surfaces on the handle. Overall it is 10 3/4in with a 6in blade tip to handle. A Kydex sheath and Tek Lok are included. Price is $300 shipped in the US.

Wow, those look great--love the flat surfaces on the handle of the utility knife for control.

Will I must say I really like your taste. Between the B11, the new ASHBM you got, and the now flats on the utility knife you have a good eye.

That utility knife is really nice Bill. Came out great.

Thank you, Camber. I think our tastes are very much in line, given what I've seen of what you like. So I have to say I admire your taste in fine blades as well. :D

Somebody hurry up and buy that utility knife. I don't want to ask Bill what color kydex comes with it and then find out it's something I can't live without.

Was studying your Hand Ax prototypes and that design is very appealing to me. The bird's head pommel for comfort when striking the butt with the heel of your hand and also to give a little extra chopping security; the exposed tang at the butt to pry or even dig with, and you could hammer on it with a rock to drive the point.

Do you happen to know what those weigh and where they balance? Really a cool "outback" design for hiking/camping/scouting.

I don't know the exact weight but I'd say they are right around the same weight as a Basic8 :D They balance just forward of the scales.
