Hand crank POWERHAMMER!??!

man you really have the power hammer blues huh?

just so happens there's a 150 lb bradley guided helve hammer sitting a few towns from me.... rusting.......

man you should drive out and buy it off this guy!

only weighs 6700LBS!! easy to move and its compact:rolleyes:

Looks hard on the ol' back. Pedals would be more efficient. Of course, if one makes oneself a medieval trip-hammer to forge with, then I'm guessing one is not OVERLY concerned with raw efficiency. :D It's a beautifully built tool though.

The smarter guys in the old days used water power to operate !!

when the grid goes down i now have an idea of how to make a powerhammer! thats really ingenuative.

Looks like it'd be less work just to swing the hammer.

I mean, if you get two guys alternating blows with 20-pound hammers---you could move right along.

STOP TEMPTING ME!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder if I could hall that with my little Jeep 6 foot bed Commanche?:D Does that guy know what he has, or just wants to get rid of it?

Showed the video to the wife she just laughed and walked away and the dog wouldn't even pay it any attention. Think I'll just have to swing my own hammmer!!!!!!!!!:)

he knows what he has... payed 2 grand for it andmoved it from martha's vineyard to the mian land and relized it was way too big for his needs so he built a little hammer for his shop...

last i knew he was looking to get the 2k back, but since then his house went on the market so he could move to his other house on the vineyard... so i don't think he's going to moving it with him...

might be able to work something out.

Not too bad on the guy holding the billet, but where could I find an idiot.....Uh friend to turn the crank.

That is sweet! Water powered would be better...

Psst sam, I'm applying for a loan at the bank tommorow. If it gets approved I will be the proud owner of a Fairbanks 150lb hammer. :D If you happen to wander upstate feel free to stop by and use it to your hearts content. :)

How did you like that satanite and clay? Also you still haven't posted your cheap salt pot design, have you finished it yet?
