This Spike Hawk has a perfectly shaped Premium Quality Hickory wood handle with a great tone and a sweet good grain which measures 18 3/4" overall.

The Head in hand forged from 4140 steel bar stock and has been hardened & tempered for maximum durability.

The edge is sharp as a razor and the finely shaped spike is ground perfect for maximum strength and style.

The tip of the "spike" is hand forged and sharpened somewhat for piercing, prying or digging.

The entire head is blued for both beauty and protection.

The cutting edge measures 2 7/8" and the head measures 8" in width.

The hand-forged head is uniquely hammer marked and hot stamped with the Beaver logo: an “Oak Leave”.

This hawk has never been used and is in mint condition. It is a real piece of Art and a real Robust Sharp Tomahawk built to be used for Camp or Combat. Would also make a great gift for any outdoorsman, reenactors and living historians (Longhunters, Muzzle loaders, Revolutionary War, French and Indian War, War of 1812, Civil War, Mountainmen, Fur Traders, Buckskinners, Cowboy) and general collectors and museums.

This ''semi-modern historical'' and ready to use spike hawk is completely hand made in the USA by Artist / Blacksmith Bill Keeler.

Bill makes reproductions 17th-18th Century Edge Weapons with the best natural materials available. His shop is located just outside of Hamilton, OH. Bill's work is known by private collectors and museums. All his tomahawks are hand forged and can be used as display pieces or as working and war tools.

This Spike hawk looks original because it’s made like the originals... hand forged with hammer and anvil. Good naturals materials, excellent steel, eternal design, superb handmade work.

Replacing the 18" Premium Quality Hickory handle is accomplished by dropping the new handle in from the top and pounding it tight. No wedge is necessary. This type of handle allows the axes to be thrown, if necessary.
