I have been doing a similar search recently and there are few options to Gransfors, including Wetterlings (also sold under Husqvarna name), Oxhead, Mueller (see http://www.traditionalwoodworker.com/default.php/cPath/525_528 for Oxhead and Mueller, both look to be excellent), and Council Tool. Mueller, Wetterlings, and I think Oxhead are all hand forged. Council is drop forged. There is a thread on here about the rockwell range for Council's axes but I suspect the range is acceptable, in particular for Mauls.

The other option is to look on ebay for an old Collins, Kelly, Mann, or Plumb maul.
