Hand Forged Tanto with Antique Irish Blackthorn

Forged from an antique double-cut bastard file, hardened in Parks 50 and tempered twice at 400*, leaving a nice, strong blade with plenty of file texture. It is handled with aged Irish Blackthorn recovered from an antique Shillelagh.

It is 10.5 inches long with a 5.6 inch cutting edge.

I don't have any photos of it in it's prime, but I do still have a small piece that shows how intricately it was carved. It unfortunately broke during a move after more than 3 generations in my family (and we got it as an antique).
