This is a hand forged hawk made using the traditional wrap&weld method. The body is 1018 and the cutting bit is L-6 The cutting edge is appx 3" wide and the head is appx 5 1/2" long. Left with a forge finish. The haft is hickory, lightly burned and stained. Finished with boiled linseed oil.
