Hand Rub before or after handle attachmetn?

well, I ekpt it thick enough to avoid any warping on the heat treat, but I did learn well that I'm not gonna use contact cement any more for scales until I get better at prefitting the scales to the bolsters. :) Oh well , I jsut decided I didn't want that cheap oak for the scales anwyays, will pick up some nicer wood, and then make sure of a better fit(and go back to epoxy for now. :)

Nathan I haven't used any D2 so I can't say buut to me stainless is stainless..But they all are chemically made a little different.I would suggest to still leave them a little thicker before heat treat.I don't use stainless so I really can't answer this but the others that do should be able to answer it better.
