I'm sure I will get my order sooner or later but...
I ordered a leather belt for my sander two weeks ago.

I ordered it online with a credit card.
On the order forum it reads:

Shipping chgs.will not appear here. We charge the exact amount of shipping to our customers. PayPal customers may remit as usual - we will submit a shipping bill to you prior to shipping. All customers will be emailed actual Chgs.

Well I never did get a email saying what the shipping charges were.
But in checking my credit card online I seen what they were because they did charge my card right away.

Well after the first week went buy and no belt I emailed them and said i was just checking on the status of my order.

Three more days went by and no replay so I emailed again.
I have not had any replies to my emails asking what the status is on my order.
I know it's only been two weeks, but most everything I order online now days I get within a weeks time.
And most places selling online will reply to there emails same day or next day.

How fast or slow have you gotten your orders from handamerican.com?
Do they reply to your emails?

I'm thinking after posting all this it will show up in the mail for sure Saturday

I had basically the same experience. After about 3 weeks, I sent an e-mail, and the package came the next day. E-mail never was answered. I found out the shipping charges the same way you did.

I know Keith DeGrau fairly well and found him to be an excellent person to work with...great products, fair pricing, and made in America.

He's always in his shop working, so your best bet in my opinion would be to just give him a call...he has a toll free number on his site.

I would agree that the products are excellent. I should have mentioned that in my previous post. The whole situation does seem to be just as you described, a straight-up, busy man who does get excellent products out, it just may take a little longer than some places.

Got my belt today, or should I say belts.
Not sure why but I got a extra belt free.
I thought at first it was a mistake but it's wrote on the invoice "extra belt n/c"

I have not gotten a chance to try them yet, but they look like they should work great.
As soon as my inlaws leave I'm headed out to the garage to try it out.
Untill then I will play it safe and sit in front of the computer

When I ordered from HandAmerican, I got a price quote from them first. Then after the price was set in stone I ordered and got my package in 3 days. Everything I ordered was excellent, top quality stuff! (And MADE IN AMERICA!) It was a very smooth deal for me.

I don't know what to tell you guys, maybe they were just out of stock or busy? I really don't know. I just wanted to add my positive feedback to the thread.

**By the way - their smooth steels are the absolute best steels I've ever seen anywhere. I use mine practically every day and it works great.
