Please don’t apologize. I’m glad that you pointed out something vital about my post. Most would think “what an idiot” and move on. You noticed something that shouldn’t have been present in the story—bragging, or self importance. The fact that I recounted a story in which I’m acting like the opposite of a warrior, and try to make myself sound “cool” by surviving means that I’m as full of shit today as I was on that day 20 years or so ago. Not that I haven’t had more recent brushes with death, in fact we are constantly surrounded by death. Most of us have blinders on, that’s all.
 
I usually carry a 10mm OWB. Better for me to have it and not need it, since I'm not as fast as I once was, and really don't want to see if I'm as fast once, as I ever was.
