Handgun slide milling/machining.

Don't assume those who might dissuade don't get it or are inexperienced.
Dear REMF
Why you feel the need to go OT is beyond me, but here goes.....
Pls refrain from directing posts at me, as I find you mildly annoying. Just as some other forum members do just in this thread.
After last we had words, Ive tried to avoid you.
IIRC it was after I called you put on your 'vast' operator experience in the desert, which you constantly harp on about.

What was your job in the military in the desert again - I doubt we will ever get an answer?

Next time consider just posting a link to another thread on another site vs. lifting verbatim another's words/thoughts on the subject and pasting them here.
:) You are so eager to play the haughty teacher -that even in a thread where other forum members 1. Are fed up with you. 2. Snap at you for once gain being an oaf- you feel the need to once again direct an inane post my way, though the terminology explanation in question backs your explanation of the term 'press check.' You even spent time researching the block of text in your eagerness. That is.....sad.

FWIW An accepted generic explanation in a block of text is often better than cross forum linking, as the latter is some times frowned upon here (depending on the forum). You should know this.

To avoid further OT and inane back and forth, this will be my last post in this thread. I doubt, Ill get a short simple rational answer to my question anyways from the REMF.

SIG makes a lot of pistols, what model is it?

It's my pocket-carry P238 (an almost exact copy of the Colt Mustang - I think Sig bought the rights AND the mfg. equipment).
I also have a Sig 1911 that does not have it, nor does my Glock.

I'm one of those people who tries to know a lot about what I DO have, so I couldn't tell you a whole lot about other models/mfgrs.

Nice little blaster! I looked around a bit and that relieved chamber appears to be a MA State law (maybe other states too) so you'd have to guess that pistol spent some time in a place like that.

Again, you assume too much. REMF, huh? I entered AD as a Rifle Platoon Leader in the B-2/327th Infantry in the 101st. Prior to AD I was a FISTer in the TN ARNG. But, alas, that was more than three decades ago.

Pls refrain from directing posts at me, as I find you mildly annoying. Just as some other forum members do just in this thread.
Feel free to ignore me. There's even a handy little application on this forum that makes it even easier and allows you to automatically ignore me. Mayhaps you should try it. Just a thought.

Yes, I've done a few dozen months in Iraq and Afghanistan; however, I rarely ever bring it up, and I've never posted what I did or do here or anywhere else on the net. Your comment about "'vast' operator experience in the desert" is just more assumption from you and a weak attempt to belittle. Sorry you get you get so twisted by my posts, but the solution is simple. Just ignore me.

Exactly, yet you still make assinine comments like yours above. I will say this --- I went into Iraq only once as a Soldier and then early on (2003). Most of my time in Iraq and all of my time in Afghanistan was after I retired from the Army. I'll let you assume the rest since you have such an apparent penchant for it.

This is all about me calling you out on lifting verbatim another's post from another forum,, ain't it?

I think that is about enough from you two. Take it somewhere else like Whine and Cheese and you can have a pissing contest there. This thread was about milling the slide of a gun, nothing else. If you cannot stay on topic, DO NOT POST.
