I've always wondered and maybe someone can answer this for me please. The handles on the 100 series knives are they just pinned or are the also epoxied in place? Your answer will be appreciated.

I am not sure, but someone with more knowledge will be along soon. Welcome to the forum.

In my limited experience, taking apart about two dozen Buck 110 and 112's, the early ones were epoxied and pinned; the later ones were only pinned.

The epoxy is a stone beetch to get off...the wood will separate before the glue releases...(scale is ruined)...OTOH, the later ones come off quite easily, if you separate the liners first and then drill out the rivets from the inside of the liner...

I just had a "DUh" moment. What I meant to ask was about the 100 series fixed blade knives. Sorry for the mixup.

Well, that opens up more confusion...the early 119, 120, maybe 124's had the tang (and grip material) fastened with a nut (the pommel, actually)...later ones had the pommel pinned...I don't recall exactly, but I believe Joe Houser wrote once that the grips were epoxied on and that they were difficult to get off...or maybe it was Scott Hartman who wrote that...CRS is setting in pretty bad today... :(
