handle fasteners any info?

Posted this in general. haven't been on in a while so forgive me. I think it belongs here instead.
Ok so I've been searching everywhere for a method attaching scales that doesn't involve the threaded barrel. I've seen a few nice looking large shoulder screws with a type of slotted nut. does anyone know what these are called or where to get them? Mcmaster and fastenal haven't provided me with anything that looks like these. As always thanks for the help guys. I appreciate it.

I tried one local shop here but they did not have any in stock. I need to do some more research too, do they come in several lengths?
 
Do an internet search for:

Chain Ring Bolts
Chicago Screws
Sex Bolts


Chain Ring Bolts can be found through bicycle parts suppliers/bicycle shops as well as some knife supply places.
 
Chainring bolts work well. I've used them a couple of times. You need to get the longer ones though. I think the ones I used had a 15mm barrel.
