Handle finishing help

Temporarily attach the scales and profile them. Make sure you finish them. Then remove and etch/stonewash the knife. Now you can glue and bolt/pin them on. Wipe the excess epoxy of and shape the rest. You can also do as taximanny said.

How do you suggest temporarily attaching the scales?

With corby bolts just tighten them up with no glue. If you are using pin stock then use your pins to align and a few drops of super glue as kdogmcg suggested.

I know they make a heat activate/deactivate glue for machining applications.Never used it,but it sounds like it could be worth a try.Maybe a machinist could comment.Good luck,Lu
