Handle material ID: Tusk, horn, antler?

Hi guys,

I have a knife with some sort of tusk or horn-like handle material that I can't identify. I was told by someone who was told by someone that he was told it was walrus tusk, but it's such an odd shape, it doesn't seem like a graceful curve.

Hopefully someone can tell what it is! Thanks much for looking.
