check out my links on my site, I buy woods that dont need stabilizing like cocobolo from that guy. and other woods, I just buy turning blocks.
 
If you guys were in or near Atlanta, we've got THE best wood store I've ever set foot in.

But then, I'm in the camp that likes to cut the wood up myself rather than buy blocks. Curly maple, for example, at one hardwood store near me is trash. The cabinetmakers don't want it, so they sell it for $2.xx per board foot. I recently got an 11 board foot board of curly hickory for $2.00 per board foot.
