I like them all but I'm not a big fan of micarta, though its a good user material its terribly nasty to grind. Plus I think there's other materials just as good that add much more to a custom knife. I do like Giraffe also.

"...I'm guessing that this poll only refers to fixed blades?...."

That was pretty obvious to me also, as soon as I read the "list" of materials being polled! ;)

I like everything - if it suits the knife in general - except "reconstituted" turquoise or abalone. My favorite folder handles are MOP, mammoth ivory, and snakewood. And for the record, Your Honor, I also like Giraffe Bone (if it hasn't been dyed too garishly).

Mammoth Ivory and Desert Ironwood. I have both in 2 custom knives and love them. The mammoth one looks more exotic, the other with the ironwood more deadly.

I picked the 3 ivories and stag. By far my favorite materials. I also like snakewood and blackwood along with many of the Aussie woods but ivory and stag top the list for me.

stag stag and more stag. some exotic hardwoods any ivory and on real hard use micarta

I saw a folder with sea turtle shell that I really liked. But, it's kinda hard to find anymore.
