This is some maple that I found. Just want to know what you think.

Very nice end grain ambrosia maple. The colors are caused by the waste from a beetle.

Yeah, this block was to make a bowl and don't think I'd want to eat out of it.
Any idea what this would look like stabilized??

It would darken a bit because of being end grain but would still make a really dramatic handle. I would recommend Mike at WSSI if you wanted it professionally done. Otherwise I would say a CA glue finish would work good on this. Just my opinion.
