For those of you that have all three handle types on your large blades. which one do you like best?:

1 - Straight Handle
2 - E-handle
3 - Fussion Handle

Sort depends on the model for me, but what he said.

I agree. A similar pole for smaller knives of 6 inches and under would net different results no doubt. Also, the more you play with one single type, you become more confortable with it and it does not matter how much better the other ones are.

For example, the Fussion handles with std scales are really starting to grow on me and may eventually be my prefered handle. But I hve so many years of SH use, that it may take a few more years before I feel this way. Thus, I keep my Fussions for when that day comes.

1)SH
2)Fusion
3)Ergo

Cobalt, you can offload some of the SHBM's to me once you prefer the Fusion Handles ;)

used to LOVE the ergos (still do i guess, just no longer my favorite). now that ive gotten the sh-bug, they are my favorite.

my all time favorite is the edc handle though.

What HE said! +1

Why sure! You can drive up to San Jose and fondle gimmejr's SHBM and SHSH2!

Whooo hoooo. But did you have to say "fondle"?:barf:

Seriously, though, I like the Ergos over the Fusions.

hahaha!!!!

Lots of folks love the Ergos. I love my Mod BM-E also. It seems to me that the Ergos fit people with larger hands better. The swell towards the end of the handle is just too large for my hands. That is why I grounded down that portion of the handle on my BM-E.

I gotta go with the fusion handle, since I am relatively new and have not scored a straight handle or E handle. However, when the new SHs show up I will have something to compare.

Overall....Fusion, they offer more grip choices. The SH tends to be a little tight for me, and the Ergo handles would have to be my 2nd choice. Once you've held and used the the E handled knives you get what Jerry was thinking when he came up with them. Not the most attractive handle but very functional!

Yup, the fusion handle does feel nice. However I love the way the res-c handles feel. The res-c handles seem to absorb the impact of a chop better than the linen micarta.
