Handle question

H.I.'s internal tangs are very substantial; almost as wide as the blade is at the bolster. I like to see a ratio of the tang being at least 1/3 the width of the blade. With H.I., that ratio is more like 4/5 the width of the blade.

I have both styles of handle. No problems with either, but I think the full scale tang balances out a longer blade better because there's more steel in the handle than there is with an internal tang.

And I like my khukri's BIG. I'm 6'5", 235lbs and I prefer khukris in the 20" - 23" range; 21" Chitlangi Khukris being nearly perfect for me.

I think a bigger hidden tang means less wood left. Actually I won't mind one single pin near the bolster area to transfer stress.
