Have you set up a 'jig' yet for this? I was thinking if you are going to be doing a few of these then a jig would help you get repeatable results.
I've only rehandled one Busse, I ordered in some red/black micarta and put on some extra thick slabs on my HR. Was a great project and I learnt a lot, now all I do is little tweaks to my blades as i've gotten used to knowing what handles and slabs work best when I buy the blade.
