handle slab attachment options....need help!

Ive been looking at attatchment hardware on various websites, but looking at all of the options has done nothing but confuse me as to how some of them work. Here's my situation. I'm working on a knife that is similar to a ESEE 4, full tang and will be using 1/4 inch g10 scales. I would love to be able to use a threaded barrel in the blade with screws attatching the scales like ESEE uses so that I can remove the scales if I change my mind on Color or material. Is there a better option in your guys opinion? Is there some sort of reference material on the different hardware such as rivits, hidden bolt fasteners or loveless fasteners that I can do a little research on. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I could defitnetly use a couple dozen of those! Thanks for posting that link. Do you know of any youtube videos or books that would go into detail about all of the other options of attatching scales?
